Hand-picked in Ourense chestnut groves. Large calibre, sweet and easy to peel.
The Galician chestnut as it has always been, hand-picked every morning in century-old groves of the Ribeira Sacra and the Ourense highlands. We grade it by size, cure it for a few days so it gains sweetness, and ship it in ventilated boxes so it arrives alive in your kitchen. Perfect for roasting, boiling with anise or making chestnut cream.

How to store it
As soon as they arrive, open the box and let them breathe: fresh chestnuts are living fruit. Keep them in the vegetable drawer of the fridge, in a paper or mesh bag, never in sealed plastic. They'll keep for 2-3 weeks. To keep them for months, score them with a cross and freeze: they roast straight from frozen. Tip: if a chestnut floats in water, discard it.
Shipping & returns
We ship to mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and Portugal. Free from €45.00. Fresh products travel in ventilated boxes and leave Monday to Thursday so they never sit in a warehouse over the weekend.
Fresh chestnuts and the packs that include them are perishable goods: by law (art. 16(d) of EU Directive 2011/83, art. 103(d) of the Spanish Consumer Act) the right of withdrawal doesn't apply. If they arrive in poor condition, send us a photo within 24 hours and we'll replace them or refund you.
