Dark, intense, with a bitter finish. Raw honey from hives inside the grove.
Bees forage chestnut blossom in June and produce a dark honey with woody aromas and a bitter edge that makes it unique. Raw, unfiltered, unpasteurised, from a beekeeper in the Serra de San Mamede. Ideal with cheese, yoghurt or over roasted chestnuts.

How to store it
Keep the jar closed at room temperature, away from the sun. Raw honey crystallises in the cold: that's proof it was never heated. To bring back the liquid texture, warm it gently in a bain-marie below 40 °C. It doesn't expire.
